Empower Women and Girls with Technology Program

The T4DNepal empower women and girls with technology Program was initially implemented in the Jharkada village of shailyashikhr municipality. In this community there are people from various castes and ethnic groups, mainly dominated by bramin.  T4DNepal empower women and girls with technology Program aims to help end the gender technology gap and empower women and girls to create innovative solutions to advance equality in their communities.

Before T4DNepal started working in Jharkada, 93 household of 130 educated women and girls are still under the technology poverty. They don’t have access of technology equipment and internet as well. In 2018, 23 women and girls have trained basic computer and 84 women and school girls have trained use of internet for daily life with the help of T4DNepal in the community. After this success, in 2019 T4DNnepal decided to expand the program to the surrounding marginalized Dalit, and Brahman communities of Jharkada.

In Gokuleshor, another village of the shailyashikhr municipality, a different approach is being followed. Due to the fact that most people have a higher level of income, T4DNepal has focused on raising awareness and has encouraged people to engage in take the technology tanning and use of internet. And 7 Community school of this muncipility doesn’t have computer lab and internet access for that T4DNepal, planning to conduct the computer lab and internet access for those school till end of 2019.  And from the same community 3 women Agriculture groups also selected for the internet access for the group on this program.
